Methodology of UX research

To investigate this feature I have decided to pick up this tree methods of UX research and here is explanation why.

USABILITY LAB TESTING

CUSTOMER JOURNEY MAPPING

EXPERT REVIEW

Lab usability tests measure a user's ability to complete ​tasks. We want to discover how users complete tasks ​and on which step they could be confused. We can ​gain unique insights into target users' needs and ​preferences by observing their behavior. This study ​helps us to fill the CJM.

Customer journey map illustrates the relationship of a ​customer with a business over a period of time using ​storytelling technique and visual cues. It is one of the ​easiest onramps to digital and is essential to complete ​before a major customer experience redesign.

Analysis to yield the most important insights and ​provide key recommendations. A brief write-up that ​summarizes key findings and indicates some possible ​recommendations can happen in this time. The expert ​carrying out the review needs to have the experience of ​having watched lot of user behaviour. Mostly this will ​have come through usability tests, because the UX ​review will centre on usability weaknesses in the

design.

Usability test process

We selected group of 4 users so we can research a process how they mange with tasks.

Respondents were not previously familiar ​with our website tool. But they should ​have matched our target audience rage ​by this parameters:

Sex 

Income 

Interest in beauty

FINAL TASK?

Go through skin diagnostic and choose ​suitable products for their skin.

FEEDBACK!

We learned their behavior on the task, ​learned their thought during progress and ​made come conclusions on their ​feedback. This conclusions are described ​in next slides.

In final we picked four different ​respondent from different target ​audience groups to perform diversity ​to research.

Expert review

This expert review were wrote down ​after observation of all insights and ​users behaviors during the usability ​tests and after CJM were done. This ​explains what can be improved in ​design and what main concerns and ​mistakes are found.
